You are required to take at least three (3) hours of ethics and risk management CE to obtain the 5% premium discount.
Psychologists can receive an additional 5% premium discount by successfully completing any additional 6 hours of CE credit. (These do not have to be ethics or risk management courses.)
To earn the discount, include the CE certificates for your courses along with your renewal payment.
If you are insured by the American Professional Agency and have any questions regarding the premium discount, please call the American Professional Agency at 800-421-6694 or 631-691-6400. To receive the discount, a CE course must be pre-qualified by the American Professional Agency.
The American Professional Agency will allow you to take the same risk management course more than once if it has been longer than one year since you last took the course. However, most licensing boards will not accept the same course twice. Our system automatically removes a course from your registration menu if a course is already in your account. Therefore, you can't register for the same course twice using the same account. In order for our CE records to be accurate, we cannot delete a previously taken course from your account. If you want to take the course again, you will need to create another account using another e-mail address, or call us, and we will void (but not delete) your old account and set you up with a new account using your same e-mail address.
The athealth.com staff welcomes your questions. If you need assistance, please send an e-mail message to support@athealth.com or call us Monday-Friday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Pacific Time at 888-284-3258. If you leave a voice message, please speak slowly and be sure to spell your last name so that we can look up your account. We look forward to helping you!
