Description:
Domestic Violence
This course provides relevant information on two issues related to domestic violence: 1) Treatment services for children who witness domestic violence, and 2) Alcohol's role in sexual assault.
The first article addresses the effects on children of exposure to domestic violence, the challenges in identifying and assessing these children, and therapeutic approaches to be used with this population. The second article discusses how alcohol contributes to sexual assault through multiple pathways.

This course meets the domestic violence requirement of psychologists, clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, and mental health counselors in Florida.
